Hey guys :)
This year a group of friends and I have decided to do the colour run and fundraise for a charity close to our hearts.
At some point in life most of us will have been through, experienced or lost someone due to depression.
Depression is a phycological state that is hard to endure, hard to live with and even harder to cure. Going through depression is like living in a nightmarish world darken and dulled by the unwillingness to act.
Together we can show that there is light at the end of the tunnel and no matter how hard life gets people will always be there to support them in their time of need.
I believe we can make a huge difference in a world that sometimes seems so cruel.
Here's my story for dad- Bruce
4 years ago I lost a huge part of my heart when I got a phone call to say my father, my best friend and my only hero had gone missing.. hoping for the best but expecting the worst I held onto any belief I had in god to bring him home safe.
Unfortunately a couple of days later my heart was shattered completely when I got the phone call to tell me they had found him, my brothers and I had lost our beloved father.. my mother lost the love of her life, he had taken his own life.
The world came crashing down around me, the happiness become anger, love become hate, strength turned to weakness & the beautiful life I once lived & everything I believed become nothing to me but a lie.. The regret flooded my body, why didn't I help him.. what more could I have done? It's very hard to let go of the past, & no one knows better than I do.... for years I held onto my old life, refusing to let go, but after years of regretting not doing more for my father it sparked something inside of me to help others, my passion for life grew bigger and stronger than ever before, I decided to turn my pain into purpose and show the world there is so much more to this beautiful life.
Love always your baby girl Krystal
Not just a memory but a cherished love always- Bewies
Nearly 6 years on and the pain and emptiness is still there, such a character & always upto mischief.. always wearing a contagious smile which covered a world full of pain we never knew of, the ph call is still on replay everytime i think of you but also so does the memories and laughs we shared. Your family, friends and I not only lost a son, a brother, a friend, an ex, or a cousin but an absolute gem of a human we loved and adored called bewies. Being able to be a part of this and spreading awareness in hope to help others not only fills my heart but gives me a sense of hope that one day we can all begin to overcome this terrible darkness..
Forever remembered- sumz
We dedicate this page not only to Bruce James Singer, Casey Mahuika, Latisha Kaukasi, Bewies, & Liam Richardson, but all the other beautiful souls we have lost along the way.
May you all rest in peace.
